- Communicating additional service or repair needs to service advisors
- Servicing universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns
- Lubricating moving parts with specified lubricants
- Draining oil from crankcases and refilling with the required amount
- Adding water to radiators and batteries
- Replacing oil and air filters
