POSITION TITLE: Accounting Intern – Part Time
REPORTS TO: Financial Team Lead
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
This employee will respond to requests regarding invoices and payments for freight. The Helpdesk uses a ticketing system to answer questions submitted to the corporate finance email address. Both internal and external customers and vendors submit these requests daily. It can be high volume and require research. The majority of the requests are vendor payment status inquiries. Training will include Master Data Maintenance, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable views in SAP.
EDUCATION: Must be enrolled in an accredited Finance or Accounting Degree plan with a college/university
EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of the accounting cycle, AP, AR and SAP experience. Team player, strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills, capable of managing change.
