Responsibilities:
Manage 24 hour a day operation of crane maintenance and inspections.
Schedule and manage call techs. Working split shifts of 12 hours on a rotating schedule.
- Manage inspection Supervisor and oversee the scheduling of their crew and personnel
- Schedule crane inspections, repairs, maintenance, downturns and training for department and staff..
- Conduct safety audits, housekeeping audits, Vehicle inspections, ppe inspections and observations of work and safety in the field.
- Conduct safety training and lead daily tool box talks.
- Hold employees accountable for actions and administer discipline with HR guidance when necessary.
- Coordinate with training department on for employee development.
- Must be accessible to customer and employees after normal operating hours.
- Must be willing to work odd shifts and odd hours.
- Must be willing to work Weekends and 12 hour days when needed.
- Must be willing and able to travel for training and business needs.
Required skills and training
3 or more years of Management experience, Computer skills . 5 or more years of Crane maintenance and inspections. Experienced in Steel mill operations and safety.
