POSITION TITLE: HR Compensation Manager
REPORTS TO: VP of Human Resources Region Americas
DESCRIPTION:
· Manage the Total Compensation and Total Rewards Strategy for the company; including making recommendations for changes to plan designs, offerings and reporting. Recommend compensation approaches and strategies to remain competitive.
· Administer compensation programs including the merit process, pay scales, survey participation, data analysis and trending as well as compensation integration for mergers and acquisitions.
· Administer commission and bonus incentive programs including tracking, calculation of commissions and bonus cycle payouts and reporting.
· Manage 401(k) plan administration, including compliance activities, participant communication, due diligence, and fund monitoring.
· Develop and coordinate employee communication materials and methods related to all benefits. Review and update materials periodically.
· Evaluate and compare existing company benefits against industry standards. Plan, develop, and/or participate in area and industry surveys. Work with broker to analyze results of surveys and develop specific recommendations and cost analysis for review by senior management.
· Assist broker with annual request for proposals and renewals. Provide census data, develop company cost information for proposed/new benefits and make recommendations to senior management concerning sharing of cost between employer and employee.
· Advise and counsel management and employees on existing benefits and plan rules.
· Direct and review employee benefit programs and develop and implement plan for integration of such programs following mergers and acquisitions.
· Ensure compliance with provisions of plans, Employee Retirement Income Security Act and any other applicable federal and state regulations. Supervise preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners and other regulatory agencies. Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits and ensure compliance. Report necessary or suggested changes to senior
management. Coordinate company benefits, with government sponsored programs, as appropriate.
· Prepare information for year-end benefits plan testing and ensure timely completion. Coordinate audits of benefit plans as required.
· Perform M&A activity such as due diligence, benefits analysis, plan mergers and benefits integration.
· Supervise human resources support services employees. Monitor HR transactions to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures. Provide documentation, training and guidance to managers and employees regarding the proper procedures. Ensure all legal obligations are met.
· Supervise the collection and dissemination of human resources data, records and reports, ensuring information provided on a “need to know” basis.
· Perform periodic and ongoing audits of established procedures, processes and transactions to ensure compliance with plan provisions, Company policies and pertinent regulations.
· Perform other duties, as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
· 3 years’ experience in employee compensation administration or corporate payroll and Human Resources preferred with experience
· Experience administering 401(k) retirement programs.
· Strong PC skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook & Internet Explorer
· Excellent oral & written communication skills, with competency in grammar, spelling, and punctuation
· Strong interpersonal and organization skills
· High degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
· Demonstrated initiative (self-motivated/self-starter)
· Detail orientated and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources degree required; Master's degree preferred
PHR or SPHR preferred
