Will perform a variety of assembly operations including but not limited to layout, align, fit, load test and assemble various parts of machinery and equipment. Will also assemble all types of mechanical components. Perform welding operations during the assembly process may be required. Work location would be both in our facility and at our subcontract locations. You will train with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Teammates in all areas of crane building to gain the skills required for future advancement and career growth. This position will work under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor and in coordination with the VP of Manufacturing Operations, Project Management, Engineering, and Production organizations.
Must be capable of reading and interpreting blueprints. Must have good mechanical aptitude. Capable of operating a welder is a plus. Knowledge of manufacturing processes as they relate to crane production is desired. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
This position is responsible for assembling product both inside and outside our facility along with material handling inside our facility. Some of the positions responsibilities are:
- Perform a variety of assembly operations for subassembly production orders.
- Perform assembly of hoist and other mechanical components.
- Assist with layout, aligning, fit and assembly of cranes both at subcontractors and in house.
- Assist with set-up and performing Factory Acceptance Test and tear down after completion.
- Assist with prepping product for shipping and load out of equipment.
- Assist with material handling activities in our warehouse. This includes putting product away and picking orders when needed.
- Complete the proper paper work on non conforming material when discovered during incoming inspection or during the assembly process.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Follow all policies and procedures for the department.
