Responsibilities
As a Port Service Technician, your responsibilities will include performing maintenance and inspections on various types of cranes, conducting extensive on-site electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and performing on-site repairs as needed.
You will also be responsible for completing daily paperwork accurately and completely, documenting and logging quotations provided to customers, reviewing repairs with customers, and maintaining professional appearance and image.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining company equipment and assets in proper working order, keeping a proper stock level of inventory and line stock items on the service vehicle, and being accountable for all company-issued tools, ladders, and inventory levels assigned to you.
Requirements
Education and Experience: High School Diploma required. Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field preferred or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience. Minimum one (1) year experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
Other Requirements: Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license. Must be willing to work off the ground, can work varied overtime, as needed by customer, be available for 'on call' as part of the service office rotation, and be able to travel and work out of town, on occasion.
