About the position
Our Off-Highway business segment is a leading supplier in designing and manufacturing mechatronic assemblies, pedals, steering columns, and mechanical cables for the agricultural, construction, Powersports, and outdoor power equipment markets. This segment is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Willis, Texas, facility.
The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facilities’ mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with KA standard operating procedures (SOP), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Skilled in diagnosing issues and programming Allen Bradley PLCs with precision and expertise.
- Capable of conducting advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including problems with malfunctioning equipment and faulty wiring.
- Performs optimization of servo systems.
- Able to apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to fix equipment.
- Utilizes lateral thinking and root cause analysis to understand the underlying problems and collaborates with peers to solve or eliminate these issues.
- Proficient in troubleshooting HMI (Human-Machine Interface) devices.
- Conducts general repairs on electrical systems, appliances, ventilation, and building structures.
- Handles minor plumbing installations and repairs, such as fixing leaking pipes, faucets, and clogged drains.
- Performs various tasks including painting, carpentry, wall repair, and reworking or repairing parts.
- Maintains air conditioning systems, including performing minor repairs.
- Independently identifies and corrects maintenance issues.
- Completes assigned repairs and facility upkeep as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience as a building facility technician.
- Certified in NEC compliance
- Good mechanical aptitudes and a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work well with ever-changing priorities and or situations.
- Comfortably able to read engineering drawings.
- Comfortably safely using hand and power tools.
- Previous experience with Preventative Maintenance software tool a plus
- Able to use measurement tools such as a multimeter.
- Able to document both daily activities and progress with longer-term projects.
- Must be computer literate
- Understands and proficient with LOTO procedures
- Comfortable using hydraulic man-lifts working at ceiling heights.
- Willing to obtain Kongsberg’s forklift certification.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. safely.
- Some Overtime might be required.
- Some Saturday work might be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
