We are looking for a Quality and HSE Manager for our Willis, TX location to plan, coordinate, and direct quality programs designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of products consistent with established standards. The manager will perform the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel.

We are looking for a Quality and HSE Manager for our Willis, TX location to plan, coordinate, and direct quality programs designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of products consistent with established standards. The manager will perform the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel.
Responsibilities
- Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
- Interprets and fosters quality philosophy to key personnel in the organization.
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Manages Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QA/HSE) initiatives, regulatory compliance, and certifications (ISO 9001 / IATF16949 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001).
- Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned products or components.
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze data and evaluate current processes and process changes.
- Based on the review by the quality assurance engineer, decide whether to accept a product or raise a claim with a vendor.
- Review all data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
- Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
- Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
- Directs workers in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.
- Plays an active role on quality management teams within the organization.
- Designs and implements quality training programs for key personnel in conjunction with managers.
- Directly supervises employees in the Quality Department. The work related to Quality includes the management of the Development, Launch, Production Line, Factory, and Field claims stages.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or six to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply statistical concepts and mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency, distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance and capability, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Automotive Quality Management experience is preferred in a fast-paced, high-mix, and low-volume environment.
- Knowledge of SAP MRP system preferred. Certified internal auditor for Quality (IATF 16949 / ISO 9001), Environmental (ISO 14001), and Safety (ISO 45001) preferred.
- Formal training in Six Sigma methodologies, with certification preferred. CMQ/OE ASQ certification preferred.
