KDA Inc. is seeking to fill the role of an IT Support Technician to work in the Johnstown, PA location. The purpose of this role is daily maintenance and user support for all personnel, IT- related end user equipment and systems located in all KPS USA, KPS Canada, and KDS Alexandria facilities. IT Support Technician will ensure the on-going availability of network resources by assisting the Networking team.
ESSENTIAL FUCNTIONS OF JOB :
- Provides hands-on first level support to all end users for help desk incidents related to the computer systems at both the local and remote sites.
- Evaluates new systems (both hardware and software) and makes recommendations to the IT Manager based on company needs
- Installs and maintains Company computers, laptops and associated software, including cell phones
- Assists team in installing and maintaining network equipment including but not limited to : routers, switches, firewalls and wireless hardware for local and remote offices
- Assists in the maintenance of all CITRIX HW and Software
- Must be able to learn new systems and software and keep current with technology.
NUMBER OF YEARS AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
At least 2 years’ experience in an IT environment supporting the following : Personal Computers (PC’s) and printer hardware; PC software including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Family; PC networking and communication including wireless technology (Cisco required); maintaining network security devices including but not limited to firewalls, routers and switches; Phone and network support; Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, 2008, Citrix; Help Desk / Desktop Support.
