Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace Inc. in Alexandria, VA is seeking a full-time Project Manager (PM) liaison / Customer Relationship Manager. Project Manager Liaison will support project management tasks related to USG contract execution and missile deliveries. The PM liaison will perform as part a project team in Norway and US support team and have the responsibility to organize reviews of new orders, reporting, and project coordination to effect successful on-time delivery. The PM team has the operational responsibility for planning, establishment of sales orders, progress monitoring (sourcing and production), supporting actions, resource requests, prioritization and deliveries of the contract. The PM liaison will have a role for communication with all stakeholders in matters relating to their assigned projects.
PRIMARY ROLES :
- Serve as liaison between USG and KONGSBERG JSM Program Management team. Act as a KONGSBERG representative with USG on all issues relating to, but limited to project execution, deliveries, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and responses to requests for proposal (RFP). Responsibilities include bid and proposal, and negotiation participation.
- Interface with various internal organizations such as finance, compliance, procurement, engineering, configuration management, and operations.
- Responsible for the Risk and Opportunity Management process in the project, including maintenance of a Risk Register.
- Establishment of work packages to ensure that the project objectives and plans are understood and accepted by the project team.
- Plan the execution and implementation of deliveries.
- Provide the Project Owner with periodic status reports.
- Contribute to learning and transfer of knowledge through project execution.
- Ensure proper handling of information and material subject to export and re-export (e.g. ITAR, EAR) restrictions throughout the project.
- Facilitate communication and cooperation within the project and towards the Customer.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
A bachelor's or master´s degree in engineering, management, business or a related field, as well as professional certification and related DoD / USG program management experience.
