Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace, Inc. is actively seeking an experience Test & Integration Manager. The Test & Integration Manager will have the task of supporting ongoing programs with integration and test of KONGSBERGs Remote Weapon System and Vetronics portfolio. The Test & Integration Manager shall be the projects responsible and coordinate with customers the integration and test weapon systems for complex military system programs. Additional tasks from the program will be allocated as and when required. The Test & Integration Manager will in concert with a cross-border project and engineering team between Norway and the USA have the responsibility to manage and coordinate task to effect successful system integration and test execution. The Test & Integration Manager will also have a coordinating role between customer and KONGSBERG supporting presentations, demonstrations, actions, resource requests, prioritization and feedback. Furthermore, the Test & Integration Manager is responsible for communication with the in-country customer in matters relating to their assigned projects and roles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB
- Support programs with integration and test of KONGSBERGs Remote Weapon System and Vetronics portfolio.
- Manage integration and test schedules.
- Interface with various internal organizations such as programs, product, engineering, configuration management, and operations.
- Assist with resource requests for the project, including support of agreement to secure outside resources.
- Establishment of work packages to ensure that the project objectives and plans are understood and accepted by the project team.
- Plan and execute integration and test activities deliveries.
- Report and coordinate with the product department regarding the need for changes to the Technical Data Package to engineering and coordination of engineering change requests.
- Provide the Project Managers and Project Owner with periodic status reports
- Contribute to learning and transfer of knowledge through project evaluation.
- Secure good communication and cooperation within the project and towards the Customer.
- Understand the Remote Weapon System and Vetronics product, and ability to offer pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
- Support marketing and demonstration activities with the Remote Weapon System and Vetronics product
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor's or master´s degree in management, business or a related field, as well as professional certification and extensive related experience.
NUMBER OF YEARS AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- At least 8 years in the following:
- Experience in working on major capital acquisition programs
- Experience in the preparation of detailed plans for complex Defense programs
- Experience in working as part of a diverse team, including with international partners
- Track record in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience in leading and managing diverse teams to achieve outcomes within a constrained budget and schedule
- Experience with the engagement of US SMEs to support the OEM on major Defense procurement projects
- Preference Attributes/Skills
- Understanding of DoD 5000 series requirements.
- Knowledge of U.S. DoD Acquisition cycle including Milestone Decision Authorities.
- Management of projects under leading commercial quality requirements (i.e. AS9100).
- Management of projects under strict regulatory requirements.
