Koniag Data Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Network Engineer with to support KDS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

The Network Engineer will conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing networks, identifying configurations, analyzing traffic patterns, and reviewing security measures. Based on the assessment, the engineer will design a modernized network architecture incorporating centralized logging, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and monitoring tools to meet regulatory standards like NERC-CIP, FISMA, and NIST SP 800 series.
The engineer will advise on procurement, installation, configuration, and testing of network devices, ensuring proper integration. They will enable knowledge transfer for ongoing operations and maintenance. The role also involves developing compliance documentation, policies, and procedures related to network engineering.
Required for this position to perform tasks throughout the Upper Colorado Region at the various power plants and facilities. The primary work location is at Glen Canyon Power Plant located near Page, AZ 86040. Secondary service locations are :
- Flaming Gorge Power Plant, Utah
- Fontenelle Power Plant, Wyoming
- Blue Mesa Power Plant, Colorado
- Morrow Point Power Plant, Colorado
- Crystal Power Plant, Colorado
- Upper Molina Power Plant, Colorado
- Lower Molina Power Plant, Colorado
- Montrose Field Office, Colorado

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
