Koniag Government Services is seeking a Growth Logistics Support to join our sector of companies in Chantilly, VA. This position is a Part-Time On-Call opportunity.
We’re actively seeking a Logistics Support employee to help with coordinating and managing the movement services, ensuring timely delivery by handling tasks like order processing, transportation coordination, shipment tracking, and communication with suppliers and customers, all while adhering to compliance regulations and optimizing efficiency.
Key responsibilities may include:
Inventory Management:
- Monitoring stock levels and identifying reordering needs for event items.
- Receiving and verifying incoming shipments.
Order Processing:
- Processing company orders and generating shipping documents.
- Coordinating with staff to pick and pack orders.
- Managing order fulfillment timelines and ensuring timely delivery.
Transportation Coordination:
- Selecting appropriate carriers based on cost and delivery requirements.
- Scheduling shipments and coordinating pick-ups and deliveries.
- Tracking shipments and resolving any delivery issues.
Customer Service:
- Responding to customer inquiries regarding order status and delivery updates.
- Resolving customer complaints related to logistics issues.
- Supplier Management:
- Maintaining relationships with vendors and negotiating pricing.
- Monitoring supplier performance and addressing delivery issues.
Required Skills:

Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
