Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team in a fast-paced distribution center environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently moving materials and products throughout the facility, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate a forklift.
Responsibilities Ensure materials are placed in the correct locations and are accessible for production.
- Record material moves ensuring the system matches the material locations.
- Conduct routine checks on handling equipment and report issues or malfunctions.
- Keep staging, loading, and storage areas organized and free from hazards.
- Follow proper lifting techniques, wear required PPE, and report hazards.
- Notify inventory control teams about low stock levels or discrepancies.
- Ensure smooth communication with production teams to fulfill material needs promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safe operation of heavy equipment is essential.
- Ability to lift heavy loads consistently throughout the shift is required.
