Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our organization's commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training development for employees on EHS practices, including first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety within the organization through effective communication and training programs.
- Perform root cause analysis of incidents to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, training sessions, and compliance activities; prepare detailed reports as necessary.
- Stay updated on changes in environmental health and safety regulations, ensuring the organization adapts accordingly.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding EHS matters.
Experience
- Proven experience in an EHS management role or similar position within a relevant industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, workers' compensation law, and best practices in environmental health and safety.
- Demonstrated ability in report writing with attention to detail for compliance documentation.
- Experience in developing training programs related to EHS topics such as first aid, CPR, and workplace safety protocols.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques to effectively address safety incidents.
