DOT Compliance Coordinator

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our organization's commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental health and safety programs that align with regulatory requirements and best practices. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards, promoting safety awareness, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and workers' compensation laws.

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide training development for employees on EHS practices, including first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
• Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety within the organization through effective communication and training programs.
• Perform root cause analysis of incidents to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, training sessions, and compliance activities; prepare detailed reports as necessary.
• Stay updated on changes in environmental health and safety regulations, ensuring the organization adapts accordingly.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding EHS matters.

Experience

• Proven experience in an EHS management role or similar position within a relevant industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, workers' compensation law, and best practices in environmental health and safety.
• Demonstrated ability in report writing with attention to detail for compliance documentation.
• Experience in developing training programs related to EHS topics such as first aid, CPR, and workplace safety protocols.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques to effectively address safety incidents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
