Job Title: Medical Account Representative
Location: Long Beach, CA
Status: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Summary of Position:
As a Pharmacy Account Representative, you will act as the primary point of contact between clients and the organization. This role requires professionalism, excellent communication, and attention to detail. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Prescription and Order Management:
- Receive and process incoming prescription orders via courier, phone, fax, email, and e-prescribing software.
- Sort and distribute orders to the designated account representative.
- Organize orders based on clinic or facility appointments and delivery schedules.
- Enter prescriptions into the database, ensuring orders are valid and complete while requesting missing information such as allergies and demographics.
- Generate labels and provide them to the IV team for calculations and compounding.
Invoicing and Shipping:
- Review orders for shipment to ensure correct pricing and prepare invoices.
- Generate and attach FedEx shipping labels to invoices, logging shipment details into the production sheet.
- Track previous day’s shipments to proactively address potential delivery delays.
Customer Service:
- Manage inbound and outbound client communications via phone and email.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns, resolving issues efficiently using knowledge obtained during training.
Teamwork:
- Cross-train to provide coverage in the event of team member absence.
- Complete personal workload in a timely manner and assist with team tasks as needed.
Other Duties:
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Pharmacy Technician License (preferred).
- Minimum of two years of experience in a medical field (hospital or pharmacy preferred).
- Typing speed of at least 45 WPM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
