Position Summary
We are seeking a QC Inspector to perform final inspection of printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies using microscopes, halo lights, or similar magnification tools. The inspector will ensure that products meet quality and delivery specifications while working under close supervision. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of inspection standards (e.g., IPC-600), and the ability to read blueprints and PCB schematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect PCB assemblies to ensure compliance with customer specifications, blueprints, and BOMs.
- Perform workmanship and inspection to IPC-600 (or similar) standards.
- Verify drawings and redlines have proper authorization and approvals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment per company policies.
- Execute in-line quality protocols, final QC processes, and IQC procedures.
- Follow production priorities set by leadership.
- Perform first article inspections (AS9102 documentation may be required).
- Participate in training for inspection techniques, quality methodologies, and equipment use.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required (ITAR facility compliance).
- Experience in PCB manufacturing (flex and rigid-flex preferred).
- Ability to read, interpret, and inspect PCB blueprints and specifications.
- Strong visual inspection skills, including prolonged microscope work.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for flexible printed circuit boards.
- Ability to communicate and follow directions effectively in English.
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (smock, gloves, closed-toe shoes, etc.).
Experience & Education Requirements
- 0–1 year experience in PCB manufacturing/inspection.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven ability to meet productivity goals and maintain on-time production quality.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Primarily a seated role with prolonged microscope use.
- Multitasking and ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
