Fulfillment Associate/Packer

The Fulfillment Associate/Packer is responsible for preparing and packaging customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the right products are packed securely and correctly. This role is essential in maintaining the accuracy of orders and the quality of the packing process, ensuring that all products are sent out in the best possible condition and in compliance with company packaging standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prep items according to customer specifications (e.g., bagging, boxing, adding barcodes, vacuum sealing) ensuring each product meets the exact prep requirements.
• Ensure all items are properly prepped with correct barcoding, verifying the accuracy of the barcode against the item, and packing slip.
• Pack prepped items into boxes or other appropriate containers, ensuring correct packing materials are used to protect items during transit.
• Use the correct size packaging to ensure that products are packed securely and efficiently without excessive empty space.
• Ensure all packed items are labeled with the appropriate shipping labels, carton labels or pallet labels including any special handling instructions as required.
• Ensure compliance with SIOC (Ships in Own Container) packaging requirements when applicable, adhering to the company’s cost-effective and efficient shipping standards.
• Include packing slips, invoices, or any other necessary documents inside the package to ensure all order details are provided to the customer.
• Ensure that all shipping labels, carton labels or pallet labels are correctly applied to the packages, with clear and accurate address information, and tracking numbers when applicable.
• Double-check packed orders against the picking list and packing slip to verify that the correct products and quantities are included before they are sealed for shipping.
• Address any discrepancies with the Packing Lead or Order Fulfillment Supervisor immediately to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Ensure that all packed items meet company standards for packaging and quality, preventing any potential damage during shipment.
• Label and seal packages securely to prevent tampering or product damage during transit.
• Communicate with the Packing Lead or Order Fulfillment Supervisor to report any issues with packaging, including missing items, damaged goods, or incorrect orders.
• Work collaboratively with other fulfillment associates, pickers, and team leads to ensure a smooth and efficient packing process.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols in the packing area to ensure a safe and organized workspace.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient packing station, ensuring all necessary packing materials, tools, and equipment are readily available.
• Dispose of waste materials, such as packing materials and damaged boxes, in accordance with company guidelines.
• Meet productivity and order accuracy targets while ensuring all packaging tasks are completed on time.
• Report any safety hazards or concerns to the Warehouse Operations Manager or Safety Representative immediately.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and core values.
• Provide support to other departments as needed to ensure the fulfillment center operates smoothly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
