Position Overview:
As the Sous Chef, you will work underneath a two Michelin star chef and with kitchen staff to manage the kitchen’s daily operations. You will help lead a dynamic team, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency in every dish that leaves the kitchen. Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and lead kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Ensure that kitchen equipment is properly maintained and sanitized.
- Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff to ensure they are working efficiently and safely.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and ensuring food costs are kept within budget.
- Handle food preparation and cooking, ensuring consistency and perfection in every dish.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
- Uphold safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen position.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen management, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for food.
- A degree or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
