Description
- Demonstrates expertise in setting up and running CNC rotary tube bending machines such as Horn, Soco, Eagle, or Addison with minimal supervision.
- Leads and trains team members in the set-up and operation of CNC Mandrel bending machines, ensuring adherence to manufacturing tolerances.
- Oversees the set-up and switching of tooling for CNC Mandrel bending machines, including Bend Die, Clamp Die, Wiper Die, Pressure Die, Mandrel, Collette, and Stop Blocks.
- Develops and programs new post bends into CNC bending machines, optimizing processes and efficiency.
- Ensures all tube assemblies meet strict quality and compliance standards by conducting quality checks and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Reviews drawings and work orders to verify accuracy and ensures correct quantities of posts are bent and prepared for each job.
- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional departments to address production needs and resolve issues.
- Conducts and oversees quality inspections using appropriate measurement tools (calipers, taps, angles), ensuring consistency and precision.
- Maintains tooling and equipment while providing leadership on maintenance schedules and preventive care programs.
- Promotes and enforces a culture of safety and compliance, adhering to all regulatory and company requirements.
Requirements
- 5 Years Bending Experience Required
- Experience in tube bending operations, including set-up and programming of CNC rotary bending machines. Required
- Strong understanding of math, including decimals, fractions, and the metric system. Required
- Proficient in English to effectively communicate with team members and follow work instructions. Required
- Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and lead team members. Required
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cutting machines required in the assembly process. Required
- Expertise in using measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and protractors. Required
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and quality assurance. Required
- Efficient with Job time management with scheduling daily worth with the team. Required
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with stainless steel tubes (thin-walled and thick-walled tubing).
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing complex tube assemblies and 3D tube bends.
- Certified Production Technician (NCMIT graduate) preferred.
- Experience in process improvement and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
