We are seeking an experienced and team-oriented Automotive Service Manager to join our fast-growing team at Kool Toyota. In this role, you will provide overall management and overseeing of our service department operations. You will work with a team of Service Advisors, Technicians, and Service Receptionists to ensure that the service department is running efficiently and at optimal performance. You will ensure our customers' vehicles are serviced correctly and efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Creating goals and objectives for the department, which include an annual operating budget, and a marketing plan to promote new business.
- Manage daily operations of the Service Department to ensure that it meets customer satisfaction, TLE and TLE-e goals.
- Make sure that department operations and performance adhere to company goals and standards by enforcing policies and procedures, training and scheduling.
- Review and approve work orders created by Service Advisors and process and reconcile daily repair orders.
- Monitor the overall performance of the service department including customer satisfaction and adhering to standard workflow.
- Ensure that the dealership meets or exceeds all customer service and quality expectations.
- Oversee all Service Technicians and Service Advisors to ensure that they are providing the necessary repair and maintenance services required by our customers.
- Ensure that all safety regulations (OSHA Standards) are met and that all equipment is compliant with safety standards including routine maintenance.
- Determine training requirements for Service Advisors and Technicians to develop training with Toyota for certification and continuous improvement.
- Foster an environment of good communication and teamwork within the service, parts, new, used and vehicle delivery departments.
Requirements
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- High School or equivalent diploma, or higher
- A minimum of 4 years' work experience in automotive service management
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive understanding of dealership operations and policies
- Knowledge of dealership service and technology systems is a plus (e.g. CDK, xTime, Dealer Daily etc.)
- Knowledge of Automotive Service Repair Manuals
- Ability to stay organized and pay attention to details
Base Salary Commission – Full Time
