Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, making adjustments as necessary to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload items from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling of products.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist with moving items within the warehouse as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and route driving is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of packages.
- Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is desirable.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
