Job Summary
Kool Kidz Daycare Center is seeking a qualified and experienced "Universal Preschool Program Supervisor" for SY25-26. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the universal preschool program, ensuring high-quality early childhood education is delivered to all children by managing staff, implementing curriculum, monitoring student progress, collaborating with families, and maintaining compliance with NY State regulations, all within the framework of a universally accessible preschool program.
Key Responsibilities include:
Staff Management:
- Hire, train, and supervise preschool teachers and assistants.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to staff.
- Lead professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
- Address staff concerns and resolve conflicts.
- Ensure the curriculum aligns with state standards and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Monitor classroom instruction to ensure quality implementation of curriculum.
- Collaborate with teachers to plan engaging and differentiated learning activities.
- Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's development.
- Analyze data to identify individual student needs and provide targeted interventions.
- Communicate student progress to parents and stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication and outreach.
- Organize parent events and workshops to support children's learning at home.
- Address concerns and provide support to families.
- Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements for early childhood education programs.
- Manage program budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required by state and district authorities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Valid NY State B-2 or N-6 NYS Teacher certification
- Proven experience in preschool classroom teaching and supervision
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood curriculum
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage staff and collaborate with stakeholders
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions about program improvement
