What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Sales Consultant - Garage Solutions position at Kooler Garage Doors?
Want Freedom, Ownership, and the Power to Earn?
At Kooler, we’re not just fixing garage doors. We’re building something bigger—stronger homes, elevated experiences, and a brand that people trust at the core of their life. We simplify homeownership. We Craft Lives.
Now we’re looking for the next Craftsman—not just a wrench turner, but a bold, independent, sales-minded pro who can diagnose, build trust, and close with heart. This role is boots-on-the-ground. You’ll be in the field, meeting homeowners, solving real problems, and delivering high-performance results—every single day.
Our Core Values – What It Means to Live and Breathe Them
- We Do What We Say We Will Do "As individuals and as a team – it's honoring our words." Living this value means being dependable, reliable, and true to your word.
- We Improve 1% Every Day "We read, learn, share best practices, and stay open to feedback." Living this value means being growth-focused, committed to progress, and eager to learn.
- We Do the Nitty Gritty "It's our systems and checking details that matter." Living this value means being meticulous, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence. Actions (What We Do):
- Double-check measurements, hardware, and final inspections on installations.
- Ensure paperwork, invoices, and scheduling are 100% accurate.
- Follow SOPs consistently—no exceptions.
- Keep trucks and tools organized and ready for the next job. Decisions (How We Choose):
- “Am I skipping steps, or am I following the process fully?”
- “Have I checked every detail before considering the job done?”
- “Would I feel comfortable with this work if I were the customer?”
- We Play to Create Win/Win/Wins "The play is the attitude to keep it fun, and we negotiate multiple wins to make sure customers, employees, and the company all win." Living this value means finding creative solutions that benefit everyone.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive to customer homes and assess garage door systems.
- Build trust through thorough inspection, clear explanation, and presenting options.
- Present Kooler’s service packages and earn customer commitment with genuine care.
- Execute repairs or schedule installs through our team.
- Follow up, follow through, and keep your pipeline hot.
- Work closely with the team— but OWN your results.
You’ll Thrive Here If You:
Love autonomy, independence, and calling your own shots. Want to be paid based on your performance, not just your time. Enjoy helping people and aren’t afraid to sell with confidence. Are comfortable making fast decisions and adjusting on the fly. Speak clearly, directly, and don’t sugarcoat things. Are a natural problem-solver with a blue-collar work ethic and a high-performance mindset.
This Role Is Built For:
This job requires independence and autonomy. It’s for someone who can take action without guidance and thrive without constant supervision.
- The work focuses aggressively on goals and sticking to those goals even in the face of adversity.
- Persistence and determination are required.
- You’ll often need to make quick decisions and take risks to achieve results.
- You must speak frankly and directly, never holding back or watering down your message.
- Achieving results is critical—this job requires a proactive nature and a strong individualistic drive.
What’s In It for You:
Commission structure designed to earn $60K (no cap for the right player) Paid training tools provided Real ownership and freedom—this isn’t a micromanaged gig Learn how to sell, serve, and grow a business from the inside A culture of winners, servants, and bold problem-solvers
We Don’t Want Average. We Want Hunters with Heart.
We’ll teach you everything you need to know about garage doors—but we can’t teach drive. If you’ve got that fire and want to build something meaningful, let’s talk.
