What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Agent position at Koops, Inc.?
The Purchasing Agent plans, purchases, and organizes components, shop supplies, and inventory to accomplish projects with highest quality, lowest cost and best timing.
The ideal candidate can:
- Expedite orders, quotes, back orders, and scope changes as needed
- Create and administer supplier purchase orders, issues, and processes changes to orders
- Review and process order acknowledgments; corrects price and timing discrepancies
- Review, correct, and approve problem invoices
- Manage the kitting of finished goods for respective projects
- Take corrective action with suppliers in case of receipt of unacceptable goods or services and maintains a record of non-conforming purchases and follow-up actions taken
The ideal candidate has:
- The ability to identify and define problems, to generate alternative solutions, to make decisions, and to implement and verify solutions
- The ability to manage and prioritize tasks to efficiently and effectively support the manufacturing team
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and an aptitude for accessing information from engineering and business systems software
Candidates should have:
Bachelor’s Degree; 2 years of equivalent supply chain experience; or a combination of a degree and equivalent work experience
