The Role:
As an Elections Specialist, you’ll be a key player in maintaining election integrity, processing important documents, and assisting citizens with election-related inquiries. You’ll need to meet tight deadlines, demonstrate strong clerical skills, and have a thorough understanding of Idaho Title 34 - Elections. Your role will include:
•Providing excellent customer service to voters, candidates, and other stakeholders
•Performing general clerical support, maintaining election records, and answering phones
•Meeting legally mandated filing deadlines and ensuring accuracy in all election-related tasks
•Becoming a Sworn Deputy Clerk and assisting with election administration
This Job Is Perfect for You If:
•You have exceptional clerical and customer service skills
•You can work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines with accuracy
•You have a working knowledge of Idaho’s election laws and procedures
•You have strong map reading skills to understand voting precincts and districts
•You’re comfortable providing clear and accurate information to a variety of stakeholders, including the public, candidates, and elected officials
Do You Meet These Qualifications?
•A high school diploma or GED
•6 months of customer service experience and 3 months of government elections experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
•Knowledge of state and county election laws, statutes, and procedures
•A valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured
