The Treasurer’s Office at Kootenai County is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Treasury Specialist II to join our team. What You'll Do:
- Audit, account, and manage cash transactions, property tax, and solid waste billings.
- Maintain accounts receivable for both the Treasurer’s Office and Solid Waste Department.
- Ensure timely deposit and accounting of county funds, safeguarding fiscal health.
- Work closely with other departments to maintain accurate records and smooth operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting citizens with property tax inquiries and payment concerns.

Do You Have What It Takes?
- High school diploma (or GED) with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
- Empathetic customer service
- Effective and thorough communication
- Ability to make accurate arithmetic calculations and familiarity with cashiering methods.
- Bondable and able to pass a criminal background check.
- Knowledge of property tax collection, excellent communication, and customer service skills.
- A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
