Audiologist

Position Summary:

Responsible for administering basic and comprehensive diagnostic audiological tests that differentiate between types of hearing disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hearing aid testing, selection and fitting


• Counsels patients regarding test results and reviews options to best meet patient needs


• Responsible for the identification and rehabilitation of hearing impairment including determining the appropriateness and benefit of amplification


• Performs a variety of tasks


• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected


• Performs other related duties as assigned


• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field


• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function


• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Audiology required


• State of Idaho licensed Audiologist required


• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence required


• BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position


• Typical equipment used in a clinical and office job


• Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend


• Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
