Cardiology Tech I

Position Summary :
Performs diagnostic tests to help physicians diagnose and treat cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities :
Performs electrocardiograms according to established policies and procedures
Demonstrates sound technical skills in operating all equipment and in obtaining optimal test results
Provides data for diagnosis of cardiovascular disorders
Prepares and maintains treatment rooms and equipment, keeping the rooms stocked and clean
Performs a variety of tasks
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required
Demonstrated ability to read cardiac arrhythmias
Successful completion of Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation course within six months of hire required
Previous patient care experience required
BLS required

Working Conditions
Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
Must be able to assist in patient transfer
Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs
