About the Role:
As our Communications, Media, and Public Relations Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing corporate communication strategies, managing media and public relations, and serving as the organization's Public Information Officer during crisis situations. Working closely with senior leadership, marketing, and internal teams, you will help share our mission, values, and achievements with the community.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement comprehensive corporate communication strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with media, community leaders, and key stakeholders
- Serve as the primary media contact, handling interviews and press requests
- Craft compelling press releases, articles, and internal communications
- Support senior leadership with key messaging and crisis communications
- Enhance brand visibility through strategic public relations efforts
- Ensure message accuracy and consistency across all platforms
- Assist with community outreach events and promotional initiatives
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline required; Associate's degree and 3 years related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
- Minimum 5 years' work experience in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field required in addition to education requirement
- Public Information Officer, PIO, training preferred
- Excellent written and oral communications
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teams at all levels of the organization
- A high level of personal and professional integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word, PowerPoint, Office and Excel
- Demonstrated leadership, program management, and critical thinking
