Position Overview

As the Marketing and Community Outreach Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of building strong relationships within the community, promoting our health services, and contributing to our mission to improve the health and wellness of the people we serve.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Marketing Leaders: Work closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing to develop and implement strategic marketing and community outreach initiatives.
- Event Planning & Execution: Take charge of planning and executing a variety of in-person events such as health fairs, health screenings, and community health initiatives. Manage all aspects of event logistics, from concept to completion.
- Align Outreach with Brand Standards: Ensure all marketing and outreach activities are consistent with Kootenai Health's brand standards, promoting a positive and professional image of our organization.
- Staff and Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, including providers and subject matter experts, to ensure their presence at select community events.
- Budget Oversight: Support the management of the annual community promotion and sponsorship budgets, overseeing purchasing and processing sponsorship requests.
- Track Community Impact: Track and report community benefit efforts for inclusion in the Kootenai Health Annual Report.
- Outreach for Accreditation: Assist in organizing outreach for clinical accreditations, including Cancer Services, Trauma Designation, Stroke, STEMI, and Safe Sleep.
- Partnerships & Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with regional health organizations, local chambers of commerce, and other business membership organizations to maximize marketing opportunities.
- Promotional Materials: Work with internal teams to develop and create promotional materials that support outreach activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Healthcare Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, outreach, public relations, or related work required; healthcare experience is a plus.
- Event Planning: Proven experience in planning and managing special events preferred.
- Flexibility: Ability to adjust to varying schedules, including evening and weekend events as needed.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license with proof of insurance and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement available).
- Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities efficiently.

Travel required on a regular basis to assigned work sites
