Occupational Therapist
Position Summary:
Plans and conducts individualized occupational therapy programs to help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities.

As one of the largest rehabilitation service providers in our region, our patients benefit from a team approach. This means patients can complete a full spectrum of treatments, procedures, and consultations from a multidisciplinary team of therapists for an individualized and comprehensive care plan. Our rehabilitation services department serves patients during and after hospital treatment for a seamless care transition as well as provides robust outpatient therapy services for the community. This position supports our inpatient acute care team.
Responsibilities:
- Teaches patients skills/techniques and how to use adaptive equipment for participating in activities
- Studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress
- Performs a variety of tasks
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
- Typically reports to a manager
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a nationally accredited school of occupational therapy required
- Current Occupational Therapy License in the State of Idaho required
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
- Typical equipment used in a clinical job
