PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive based in Houston to join our rapidly growing team. This role is responsible for driving sales, building brand awareness, and delivering best in class customer service through implementing and developing field sales, training, and event strategies. As an AE you are responsible for managing a territory of key Ulta focus doors in Houston, San Antonio and Austin , select Nordstrom accounts, and a team of 5-10 freelancers based on the territory. Additionally, Our Account Executive team will report directly to National Sales Manager and work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to achieve company objectives. This role is in a fast-paced environment that offers an opportunity to be part of building a rapidly growing brand, with a focus on excellent strategy execution alongside our retail partners in store.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Create store-specific plans to increase sales and brand awareness
  • Achieve and adhere to budgetary spend commitments : financial responsibility inclusive of travel and expense, freelance spend and measurable to preserve profitability and secure bottom line
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining productive freelance teams as well as Beauty Advisor / Coordinator teams (where applicable)
  • Accountable for strengthening brand identity by creating visual merchandising consistency within each store and ensuring visual, inventory and operational standards are met
  • Meet all deadlines for requests including calendars, expense, and event recaps. Understand retail partner protocols, support and adhere to their policies
  • Successfully executes launch plans and marketing initiatives
  • Deep understanding and experience working with Ulta Beauty.
  • Educates stores personnel on brand, product launches and top initiatives
  • Develops a calls cycle to ensure consistent comprehensive support of all accounts and retail partners within a given territory

REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience as an Account Executive in beauty partnering with retailers including Ulta Beauty
  • A proven track record of achieving personal and territory sales goals.
  • Strong leadership, sales, customer service, budget management and organizational skills
  • Excellent at time management and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and amenable to changes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Must be able to multitask while accommodating changing priorities.
  • Growth mindset that translates into a passion for the consumer in a fun and fresh way
  • Quick-thinking hands-on, organized problem-solver
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Strong written, and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays to meet business needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook / Google docs a plus
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand for up to 8 hours a day, with breaks
  • Spends at least 90% of time in the field / in store
  • Space in your home to store roughly two (2) 9"x12"x6" boxes.
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Bilingual a Plus
  • SALARY RANGE : $65,000-75,000
