Key Responsibilities:
- In-Home Coaching: Support clients by helping them implement changes in their home and life, focusing on proactive and lasting recovery strategies over 30 day assignments.
- Emotional Support: Process emotions in real time as they arise, helping clients navigate difficult moments and triggers associated with their recovery.
- Trigger Management: Help clients identify, process, and cope with triggers in the moment, encouraging positive, enjoyable ways to re-engage with life.
- Personal Growth: Assist clients with setting schedules, finding work or educational opportunities, building a solid support network, and maintaining healthy social connections.
- Family Engagement: Facilitate communication between clients and their families to repair and strengthen relationships.
- Activity Support: Accompany clients to appointments, meetings, and recreational activities to support their recovery process.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Master's level counselor
- Required: At least 2 years of experience in eating disorder residential treatment
- Experience: Strong background in eating disorder recovery and working with families in a therapeutic setting
- Skills: Ability to offer both emotional support and practical coaching to clients and families
About the Role:
At Koplin Consulting, we believe the most important recovery work happens at home, not in a clinical setting. As an Eating Disorder Recovery Specialist, you will live with clients during their 30 day assignments, providing in-the-moment support to help them manage their triggers and build healthier lifestyles. This position requires a unique skill set, with each coaching role tailored to the specific needs of the client, ensuring a best-fit match for success. Your role is integral in guiding clients to create structure in their lives, repair relationships, and build a solid foundation for recovery.
We work with our coaches on a case-by-case basis, allowing flexibility and ongoing opportunities to work with clients who benefit from your support.
