Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of curriculum and educational programs for children in a Charter School setting
- Provide support and assistance to children with special needs, including those with autism, in their daily activities
- Help develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support behavior management strategies and techniques as directed by the teacher or supervisor
- Assist with the care and supervision of elementary and middle school aged children
- Collaborate with teachers and other paraprofessionals to ensure the individual needs of each child are met
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or 60 college credits preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism, is preferred
- Knowledge of curriculum development and early childhood education principles is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Ability to follow instructions and implement strategies as directed by the teacher or supervisor
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Salary : $17 - $19
