Kopp Glass, the leading worldwide manufacturer of hand molded, technical glass products, is seeking to hire an Inspector to join our Inspection department. Kopps Inspection department plays a pivotal role in our manufacturing process; this individual will be involved with the day-to-day operations associated with inspecting products and monitoring processes to ensure that company requirements and customer specifications are being met. An Inspector is responsible for visual and dimensional inspection of products to verify conformance to the customer's quality criteria and packing products to prevent damage during shipment to the customer. Proficient computer skills, demonstrated organization, effective communication, and teamwork are critical components of all essential functions and duties of the Inspection position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sets up and uses micrometers, calipers, contour gauges, feeler gauges, height gauges and other custom gauges to inspect glassware.
- Obtains and reviews current inspection sheets, drawings, and work instructions to determine criteria of glassware.
- Properly identifies flaws in glassware.
- Identifies opportunities for glassware to be reformed or repaired. Performs minor repairs as needed.
- Properly completes ware cards and inspection reports and records work properly. Maintains data integrity and promptly notifies supervisors of any discrepancies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School or General Education Diploma (GED)
