- Note : This is a 6 month contract covering for someone on company leave so while it's a great opportunity to get your foot in the door, it is not guaranteed to go long term (although it is always possible.)Job Overview : The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing a positive banking experience for our clients. As the face of the bank, the teller will handle a variety of financial transactions while building strong customer relationships.Key Responsibilities :
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service.
- Process a variety of financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and money transfers.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding bank products, services, and policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions while adhering to bank policies and security procedures.
- Identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate banking services (, loans, credit cards, or investment options).
- Resolve customer issues in a professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Balance cash drawer daily and ensure proper reconciliation of all transactions.
- Follow all bank compliance and security standards to minimize risk and ensure confidentiality.
- Promote and cross-sell bank products and services that meet customer needs.Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience (preferably in banking, retail, or hospitality).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Basic knowledge of banking regulations, procedures, and cash handling.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computers, POS systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
