We are seeking a Data Lake Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to implement and maintain a secure, high-performance data lake tailored for retail operations. This role focuses on building data pipelines, ensuring data quality, supporting governance, and enabling visualization solutions for business insights.
Key Responsibilities :
- Data Pipeline Development : Build and maintain scalable ETL / ELT pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from retail systems (Shopify, Aptos MERCH, Aptos CRM, Aptos SALES AUDIT, Aptos WMS) using DataFlow, Cloud Functions, and other GCP tools.
- Data Integration : Ensure seamless integration of diverse datasets into a multi-layered data lake (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- Data Transformation : Perform data cleaning, enrichment, and curation to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Data Governance Support : Implement and enforce data governance practices, including security protocols, metadata management, lineage tracking, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
- Monitoring and Optimization : Set up Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and billing tools to track and optimize system performance and resource usage.
- Collaboration : Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business teams to ensure pipelines meet requirements and deliver quality data.
- Visualization Enablement : Support integration of data with tools like Power BI and BigQuery for actionable insights.
