About the Korea Innovation Center (KIC)

Korea Innovation Center (KIC) is funded by the Korean government on a mission to create a global startup ecosystem throughout its four locations- Washington DC, Silicon Valley, Berlin, and Beijing. We discover and incubate promising Korean technology startups by providing assets such as connections to market enablers and accelerators and training programs. More than 80 Korean startups join our KIC Washington DC center and explore the US market annually. We welcome partners from various sectors to build a vibrant network across the US and Korea.

– 창조경제 글로벌화 실현 및 우리 과학기술·ICT 분야의 국제협력 및 해외진출을 위한 해외 교두보 역할 수행

– 과학기술 ICT 분야 투자,혁신거점으로 스타트업 진출 플랫폼 본격화 및 협력 R&D 지원

– 국제협력 및 해외 진출의 현지 허브로서 과기정통부 및 타 부처 산하기관 해외센터, 한인 네트워크 등을 모두 연계하는 종합지원 기능 역할 수행

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of startup accelerating programs, adhering to established program management methodologies.
• Provide regular program status updates, reports, and presentations to senior management.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Korean tech startups, government entities, U.S institutions, vendors, and mentors to understand their needs, anticipate obstacles to success, and solve complex problems
• Identify opportunities where we can do better for our tech startups (business process, training, technology commercialization) to increase KIC’s overall impact

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience.
• Bilingual in English and Korean equivalent to native fluency
• Microsoft Office/PC skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to self-learn, act on own initiative and work in a dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Time management, planning, and organization skills
• Proactive and tenacious work ethic
• Ability and willingness to travel, as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a small/ start-up company environment.
• Experience in technology commercialization and consultation with Korean and/or U.S. based start-ups
• Project Management
