ABOUT THE POSITION
The NJ Education Department is seeking a part-time Pilates Instructor to lead engaging private
sessions and small group classes in Tenafly, NJ. As an instructor, you will create a supportive
environment for participants of all skill levels, helping them enhance their strength, flexibility, and
posture through Pilates. Join our team to inspire and empower individuals on their fitness journeys,
fostering personal growth and well-being through the practice of Pilates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead engaging small group Pilates classes, ensuring a safe and effective workout. environment for all participants.
- Assess clients' fitness levels and customize programs to meet their individual needs and goals.
- Educate clients on proper body mechanics and anatomy to enhance their understanding and execution of Pilates movements.
- Monitor clients' progress, providing ongoing feedback and motivation to help them achieve their fitness goals.
- Stay informed about the latest movement science and Pilates techniques to continually refine and improve teaching methods.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Certification in Pilates required
- Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience in group Mat Pilates classes, working with adult clientsInstructional Skills: Strong ability to lead engaging and effective Pilates classes, ensuring safety and proper technique while motivating participants
- Language Skills: Fluency in English required bilingual in Korean is preferred
- Availability: Must be able to commute to Tenafly, NJ, and commit to the 2-week, intensive summer program.
