Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry and bread production, with a keen understanding of food handling and safety practices. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods that meet our standards for taste and presentation while ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and other baked goods according to established recipes.
- Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are strictly followed to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to produce consistent results in baked products.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and other baking tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by following proper sanitation procedures, including cleaning work surfaces and utensils.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones based on customer feedback.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of baking supplies and ingredients.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of baked goods as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a bakery or similar food production environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of pastry techniques, food handling practices, and food safety standards is essential.
- Familiarity with various kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, and knives used in food preparation.
- Experience working in restaurants or catering services is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining creativity in baking.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely production of baked goods during busy periods.
