ROLE OVERVIEW
The Mechanical Integrity Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the refinery's mechanical systems and equipment. This includes developing and managing inspection programs, conducting risk assessments, performing fitness-for-service analyses, investigating equipment failures, managing materials selection and corrosion, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires strong technical support and expertise to optimize asset performance while minimizing downtime and mitigating risks to personnel, the environment, and the community
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ownership of unit risk-based inspection program
- Work selection recommendations
- Planning inspections with appropriate coverage and NDE techniques
- Analysis of inspection results and recommended future actions
- Perform mechanical analysis of required thickness and fitness for service assessments
- Respond to plant operational events
- Provide repair and replacement specifications
- Analyze site fixed equipment performance
- Drive site asset improvement in the areas of Safety, Reliability, Environmental Performance and Equipment Capability and Efficiency in a team setting
- Support capital projects and minor modifications in the areas of design consulting, technical quality assurance, and start-up assistance
- Communicate and interact daily with Inspection, Maintenance, Process, and Operations team members
