Background & Purpose of the Job
The CI&T Leader is a dynamic change agent who connects various areas and processes to align site improvement efforts. As a key member of the Manufacturing Excellence team, the CI&T Leader plays a crucial role in implementing the continuous improvement program. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and resilience skills to resolve conflicts and overcome resistance to change.
Responsibilities
- Schedule, coordinate, plan, delegate, and perform operational activities (both technical and managerial) regarding strategic programs:
- Internal Manufacturing System.
- Training System & Designated Trainers program
- 5S’s & housekeeping (For improvement of basic conditions)
- R2S Performance Improvement program
- Manage, monitor and report progress towards meeting CI&T programs objectives
- Manage systems associated with all critical data collection needs (production, training, etc.).
- Report progress towards meeting programs objectives to program leaders and other team members by developing and tracking project milestones.
- Contribute to the Net productivity initiative by leading savings projects with specific targets.
Challenges

- Identifying gaps and opportunities within existing processes through a methodological approach.
- Supporting the Factory Operating System and associated processes.
- Ensuring resources are available for CI&T program projects or activities.
- Planning, coordinating, and training activities in multiple areas of responsibility.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Skills & Competencies
- Qualifications: Engineering degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering Education with significant experience in Training and Focused Improvement Processes.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, training and safety.
- Skills: Analytical thinking, problem-solving, influencing, strong observation and auditing, team player, critical thinker.
- Specific Training: Continuous Improvement methodology preferred (TPM / WCM / Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt).
- Experience: Union factory experience preferred.
General Skills
- Demonstrated capability to manage factory relationships.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and factory database administration (e.g., Informance).
- Capable of learning and using new digital tools and systems to be used to leverage CI&T programs deployment.
- Capable of delivering and implementing factory change.
- Skilled in the development, delivery, and assessment of training needs.
- Capable of implementing and managing continuous improvement methodology tools.
Abilities
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to gather and analyze data, interpret it, and transpose it into usable information.
- Computer Skills: Excellent computer and analytical skills, proficient in software like Informance, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, CMMS, and Visio.
- Communications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting data, reports, and information to all levels of the organization.
- Leadership: Change management skills; able to motivate to action.
- Team Commitment: Encourages and supports teamwork to accomplish work.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, effective interaction with all organizational levels, ability to resolve conflict, and lead teams and projects.
Compensation: Ideal target compensation is $90,000-$105,000 annually plus up to a 10% bonus target.
