Head of Business Development, Asia

Our client is a leading global professional services firm with operations in over 25 jurisdictions, delivering comprehensive advisory, legal, and management services. They are a team of highly skilled professionals who collaborates closely with a wide range of clients to navigate complex challenges, ensuring their most valuable assets are secured and optimized for growth.

As part of their continued growth in Asia, they are now seeking a dynamic and self-driven Head of Business Development to spearhead strategic sales initiatives and drive client acquisition and revenue growth. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with the ability to position the firm’s value proposition effectively, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and deliver transformative business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Revenue Growth : Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, ensuring a robust pipeline to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Client Engagement : Develop and execute client engagement strategies, leading proposals, pitches, and strategic client interactions to align with broader business development objectives.
  • Strategic Collaboration : Partner with the Asia regional Managing Director, firm principals, and centralized group corporate functions to align initiatives and deliver cohesive growth strategies for the firm.
  • Cross-Border Opportunities : Strengthen relationships with strategic foreign associates, driving cross-border collaborations and ensuring inbound business opportunities.
  • Leadership and Mentorship : Serve as a change leader by coaching attorneys and senior associates, enhancing their business development skills to secure impactful client relationships.
  • Strategic Initiatives : Oversee major client pursuits, including bids, tenders, and presentations, ensuring the firm maintains a competitive edge.

Qualifications and Expertise :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree qualified with over 12 years of relevant experience and a proven track record of driving revenue growth in a professional services environment, with hands-on experience in direct client acquisition and relationship management.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and expertise in consultative sales, with the ability to deliver high ROI initiatives.
  • Superior communication and negotiation skills, adept at building credibility and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Resilience, strategic thinking, and a results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
