Vice President of HR Opportunity with Valley Medical Center
Korn Ferry has partnered with Valley Medical Center on an inaugural Vice President of Human Resources opportunity. Valley Medical Center is the largest nonprofit healthcare provider between Seattle and Tacoma. In addition to the hospital, the Medical Center operates a network of more than four dozen primary care, urgent care and specialty clinics throughout South King County.
This strategic role which reports directly to the Chief People and Experience Officer and offers the opportunity to oversee HR functions while shaping the organizational culture and helping to create a best-in-class HR team. Here are the key responsibilities :
- HR Leadership : Directly oversee Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee & Labor Relations, Organizational Development, payroll, and HR systems.
- Strategy & Compliance : Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements while aligning with the company’s strategic goals.
- Team Development & Collaboration : Lead and mentor HR teams, drive performance management, and collaborate with senior leadership to address business challenges.
- Labor Relations & Employee Engagement : Manage labor relations, employee performance, and ensure a smooth on-boarding process for new hires, all while maintaining a strong organizational culture.
- Data-Driven Decision Making : Use data and visual tools to track HR initiatives, measure progress, and drive continuous improvement across the HR department.
Requirements : This position requires a minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with 5 years of leadership experience, preferably within a healthcare environment. Additionally, 5 years of deep labor relations / union experience is critical to this role. Must have experience with HR transformation, team assessment, and using data analytics to measure progress and track initiatives.
Compensation : $205-$285k base salary (may go higher based on experience) 20% bonus
Location : Hybrid 2x / week on site in Renton, WA. Client is open to relocation candidates.
