Position Overview
The Credit & Collections Analyst is responsible for overseeing the financial management of high-volume accounts, including General Contractors, Sub-contractors, and independent installers. This role focuses on extensive day-to-day evaluation of creditworthiness, managing collections, and ensuring timely order releases through proactive follow-ups, effective communication, and meticulous documentation. This role will be reporting to the Credit and Resolutions Manager and located in our Corporate Office in Fairlawn, OH.

Key Responsibilities:
Review receivables status and initiate appropriate collection actions.
Evaluate account status for approval of new orders based on established guidelines.
Research and resolve disputes on delinquent account balances, including correcting misapplied payments or overpayments, and collaborate with customers and internal teams for resolution.
Track delinquent account status and document collection efforts. Recommend credit limit adjustments when necessary.
Identify accounts suitable for referral to outside collection agencies and monitor progress.
Work to improve receivables turnover while balancing customer needs.
Partner with sales representatives to resolve disputes or address delinquent accounts.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
Minimum 3 years credit analyst experience, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
Experience with the Collections and/or Construction Lien process preferable.
Excellent communication skills both verbally and electronically with the ability to communicate with people at all organization levels.
Strong PC experience, including Word and Excel
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and have the ability to lift up to 20lbs safely.
