What You’ll Do :
The mission of the role is to deliver optimized packaging designs, educate customers and teams, and ensure a thorough understanding of each project to meet customer needs and business goals.
What Your Day Will Consist of :
Item Creation & Onboarding into the System (ERP - Acumatica)
Accurately input new items into the ERP, ensuring all necessary data is complete and correct.Manage the onboarding of packaging items, ensuring they meet company standards.Collaborate with the operations and supply chain teams to ensure seamless transitions of new items into the system.Strive to Improve on Existing Packaging or Concept of Request
Evaluate current packaging designs and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, or sustainability.Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop enhanced packaging solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.Lead efforts in testing and validating packaging improvements to ensure they meet functional and quality standards.Educate Both Customer and AE / AM on Packaging Knowledge
Act as a subject matter expert, providing training and insights on packaging materials, processes, and innovations to account executives (AE), key account managers (KAM), and customers.Present packaging options and recommendations, ensuring customers understand the benefits and limitations of each solution.Support AE / AM teams by helping them communicate technical packaging details clearly to customers.Strong Understanding of Each Opportunity
Conduct thorough reviews of customer requirements and project details before initiating packaging solutions.Ensure a deep understanding of each packaging opportunity based on customer needs, including specifications, budget, and timelines, to provide the most effective solution.Work closely with sales and project teams to align on objectives and ensure that packaging strategies meet the customer’s needs and business goals.Ensure packaging operations meet timelines, quality standards, and production requirements.What You Need to Bring to the Role
Required Experience
3-5 years of related experience, Packaging experience, and product knowledgeBachelor’s Degree in industrial design, Packaging Design, Design Engineering or specialized Engineering DegreePaper and / or plastic-based product, folding cartons, corrugated, films, printing, etc. experienceAdvanced ability to understand 3D concepts3 years of Artios CAD experienceExperience with SolidWorksProficiency in the operation of equipment, including CAD Tables (ZUND or Kongsberg)Professional proficiency of graphic design and photo editing software such as the Adobe Creative SuiteWhat You’ll Earn
