We are currently seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for an inpatient role in South Carolina. Candidates must hold a valid South Carolina Nurse Practitioner license along with a South Carolina DEA registration.

PRN PMHNP for inpatient role at our new hospital location, weekend or ad-hoc.
- Would also like to find a few more PRN PMHNPs for weekend and ad-hoc coverage.
- Assist in tour 22-bed adult inpatient unit which offers specialized care, cognitive therapy and individualized psychotherapy
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess clients mental health status, medication needs, and treatment goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapists, social workers, and medical staff to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medication for clients, with a focus on minimizing side effects and monitoring for drug interactions.
- Provide medication education to clients and family members to ensure proper compliance and understanding.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress, treatment adjustments, and ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices, new research, and medications related to psychiatric and behavioral health care.
