We're hiring! We are currently seeking Light Service Operators to join our team.
Job Description:
Service Truck Drivers work within our light service program to assist customers with roadside service requests. Service Truck Drivers should exhibit exemplary time management skills, customer service skills, and a general interest in automotive repair. Service Truck Drivers do NOT diagnose or repair vehicles on the roadside. They provide assistance and direct customers in the direction of proper vehicle repair. Service Drivers may assist by replacing a vehicle battery, unlocking a vehicle, jump-starting, spare tire installment, and more.
Service Truck Drivers are responsible for the general upkeep of the vehicle they are operating each shift. This includes completing a daily truck check to be returned to the office, cleaning the interior of the vehicle each shift, cleaning the exterior when necessary, and notifying office staff if major repair is required.
All drivers are required to complete a daily form known as the Shift Review Sheet or SRS for short.
Service Drivers will also be majorly involved in Tow Away releases. This entails releasing vehicles that were removed for improper parking to the owners.
On occasion Service Drivers may be asked to assist on emergency response calls. The tasks during that time can vary from helping clean off the roadway to being an extra set of eyes during a winch out.
Service Drivers should be amenable, reliable, and open-minded.
On a weekly basis Drivers will need to inventory the batteries on their vehicle, deep clean, and rotate any expired stock. On a daily basis Drivers should be inventorying and restocking batteries according to the provided master list. Customer satisfaction and call data reports are heavily monitored to ensure the success of our battery program. Our Service Truck Operators must maintain a minimum of 80.00% or higher scores.
Training:
Service Drivers are required to complete additional training on battery replacement. Froggy’s Holdings LLC & AAA will provide this training upon hiring at no cost.
Job Location:
Service drivers cover Ithaca, Cortland, & Syracuse. Drivers will be notified of their service location prior to the start of each shift but please note our drivers circulate each area throughout the week.
Requirements:
Must be 18
A valid driver's license & clean driving record
Time management skills
Reliability and flexibility
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Must pass AAA background check before interview
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
