Kospo Niles, LLC (KOSPO Niles) is a major stakeholder in a 1,085 MW combined cycle power plant in Niles, MI, valued at $1.2 billion. We oversee operations and maintenance (O&M) in collaboration with our parent company in South Korea.
Position Overview
We are looking for a good candidate, a Technical Manager to pursue the interests of shareholders on collaborating with O&M company and diverse entities ensuring efficient and reliable power production. The position is well suited for a person with strong management skills, a strong technical background, and a basic understanding of the energy market mechanics of North America.
Job Responsibilities
The Executive Managers’ Support
- Sharing and Supporting the Work for Technical & Operation Executive Managers from Korea
- Technical support following the contracts review(O&M company and OEMs)
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinating and communicating with other stakeholders to align our goals and strategies
- Preparing and reporting the results of the Asset Manager Committee meetings
O&M company management
- Managing O&M of the power plant by preparing or attending meetings as a plant’s owner
- Communicating and collaborating with the O&M company to improve operations and resolve issues
Original Equipment Manufacture(OEM) management
- Cooperating with OEM for the reliable power plant operation without technical issues
- Proposing solutions for technical issues related to power plant operations
Energy and Fuel Supply management
- Monitoring and reporting daily progress and status
- Understanding, making a strategy energy market and making procedure for emergency situations
Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Energy or related fields (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical Engineering)
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in thermal power plants, with at least 2 years in combined cycle power plants
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding and technical expertise of Combined Cycle Power Plant
Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in O&M company or OEM(GE, Siemens), asset management company and Power trading market(e.g., PJM)
Certifications: Relevant certifications related to power plants (e.g., PE, PMP).

Type: Full-time (Renewable annually).

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 annually (including fringe benefits) with up to 10% bonus potential.
